Devry Smith Frank LLP is an established law firm with over 50 lawyers. The firm has a broad-based practice which includes: commercial litigation, bankruptcy/insolvency, family law, criminal law, wills/estates, corporate/commercial, commercial lending, personal injury, commercial and residential real estate, tax litigation, immigration, and planning and development litigation.
As the firm grows with its clients’ expanding needs, we are seeking to add an experienced planning and development lawyer to join our collegial team in North York. The successful applicant will be involved in all aspects of municipal and planning law, including land use litigation, expropriation, environmental and constitutional matters including appearances before various courts and administrative tribunals, in particular the OMB. Applicants must have excellent advocacy, interpersonal and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of related legal experience, preferably gained at a municipality or with a firm representing municipalities. A portable or growing practice is preferred, but is not essential.
