Corporate Legal Assistant job opening in Toronto, ON
Toronto Professional Adecco Branch is currently recruiting for our client for a Career Legal Assistant located in Toronto, a short distance from Union Station, GO and TTC. Please note that this opportunity is a temporary full-time professional career opportunity and they are looking for someone whose goals and expertise match up.
This Legal Assistant Temporary Opporunity is for 4 months and could be extended. You will be working Monday to Friday-8:30am to 4:30pm and has an hourly pay rate of $20.00 to $24.00, depending on experience.
Your responsibilities will be providing full administrative, clerical and general office duties to meet the needs of the firm and clients.
Some of the direct responsibilities of this Legal Assistant job opening in Toronto, ON may include but are not limited to:
Providing high-leval administrative support to a team of 3 lawyers and a legal officer.
Working with all forms of legal documents including agreements, letters, memos, presentations, organizational charts and practice specific documents.
Proofreading documents against originals and prepare as necessary.
Coordinate work with other legal Assistants and support services to ensure required actions are completed in a timely manner and appropriate support is provided to the legal practices they are supporting.
Arrange meetings by booking facilities/arranging for conference calls/schedule appointments.
Process and revise electronic documents including editing and copy and composing client correspondence, some dicta typing might be required.
The skills and qualification for the Legal Assistant job opening in Toronto, ON include but are not limited to:
At least 3 years demonstrated Legal Assistant expertise, with excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite including Word/Outlook.
Excellent organization skills and the ability to keep information confidential.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with a flexible and positive attitude.
You will be self-motivated with the ability to successfully support and work with the legal team.
Successful completion of post-secondary education, with the focus being on legal administration or equivalent.
Must have solid written/verbal communication along with a strong work ethic.
