Mandate:
Reporting to the CFO, the in-house counsel will be responsible for all legal matters at Delmar.

Daily tasks will include but are not limited to: 
• Ensuring the compliance of all governments and regulations 
• Providing legal advice on various topics such as business and client contracts; agreements such as non-disclosure, provider and tenant; commercial insurance coverage 
• Support mergers and acquisitions through legal due diligence and contract writing 
• Monitor and advise on cargo liability claims 
• Work with external lawyers to resolve issues (corporate and / or job-related), research and analysis of laws and regulations 
• Ensure that the maintenance of the company is up to date
• Perform other related legal projects that will be assigned to you

Requirements: 
• Bachelor's degree in Law or JD (Juris Doctor) 
• Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in a law firm and / or business 
• Expertise in corporate law is required; labor law expertise is an asset 
• Member of the Bar Association of one of Canada's provinces or territories 
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English and French

Responsibilities include, but not limited to: 
• Responsibility for all government and regulatory compliance 
• Taking ownership and managing all contracts within the organization; including corporate and client contracts; agreements Such As non-disclosure, vendor and holding, insurance coverage business and 
• Supporting M & A activities through legal due diligence and contract drafting 
• Overseeing and Advising one cargo liability claims 
• Working with outside counsel to resolve issues (corporate and / or employment related) , research and analyze laws and regulations 
• Certifying corporate service is up to date 
• Perform other legal related projects as assigned

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Law or Juris Doctor (JD) 
• Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in a firm environment 
• Expertise in corporate law is required; expertise in employment law is an asset 
• Member of the Bar Association of the Canadian provinces or territories 
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both English and French
