The Landing Gear Market specializes in the design, qualification, manufacture and repair and overhaul of landing gears and flight critical components to a customer base that extends from the OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) to the Operators in both the commercial and military markets.


Summary of position:


The Contracts and Legal Affairs Specialist is responsible for providing general support to the Manager, Legal Affairs in various legal duties applicable to the Corporation’s activities in all operating locations (Canada, United States, United Kingdom and Spain) with specific emphasis in the drafting, review and negotiation of contracts with customers and suppliers. Fully endorsed by the Management team, this role will have significant organizational support and will reward initiatives for improvements and new vision.


Main responsibilities:


- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts and legal documents (ex: sales contracts, procurement contract, non-disclosure agreement, general terms and conditions, representations and warranties for government’s contracts, etc.)
- Support due diligence process in merger and acquisition projects.
- Support preparation and implementation of legal policies and procedures, including contract templates. 
- Provide support and training to the relevant internal teams and departments.
- Researching and keeping up to date with applicable legislations and Government’s procurement regulations.
- Maintain legal records.




- Five (5) years of relevant experience in similar function within the industrial or manufacturing sector (experience in the Aerospace sector is an asset).
- Strong leadership skills.
- Bachelor of Law, Notarial Law, International Relations or Administration or the equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Ability to contribute to the development and implementation of global policies and procedures. 
- Excellent relational skills and ability for teamwork.
- Show judgment, analytical and have a critical sense.
- Demonstrate an excellent attention to detail.
- Possess a high degree of autonomy and show initiative.
- Able to supply a large volume of work.
- Bilingual, English, French.
