Department Overview

In this role, you will join a dynamic and collegial team of legal professionals in the Bank’s Legal Corporate & Treasury Team.

 

Job Description

You will be involved in a wide range of corporate legal matters, including securities issuances in Canada, the United States and globally, and advise on public company, corporate governance and disclosure matters. You will work closely with colleagues in Legal, other control functions, and partners across the Bank including Investor Relations, Corporate Secretary, Treasury, Capital Management and Finance, as well as with senior executives. You will have the opportunity to participate in the bank’s public disclosure, securities issuances, shareholder matters, and various corporate transactions.

 

Requirements

 

Ideally 5-9 (minimum 4) years of experience practicing corporate and/or securities law at a major law firm or at a publicly-traded entity. You have experience in securities issuances and can independently lead transactions in a demanding, fast-paced environment. You have superior analytical and communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with senior members of the Bank’s management team. You have the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities while paying attention to details. You are an independent thinker with excellent judgment who also has strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with multiple partners. #LI-POST
