Reporting to the Legal Director (contracts and compliance), you will be called upon to work on a variety of files in close collaboration with several of the company’s teams. You will advise the teams, notably in matters of Business Law, Technology Law, Advertising and Marketing Law, the Protection of Personal Information and Intellectual Property. To do this effectively, you will acquire a global understanding of the company’s main issues, notably certain technical aspects.

 

Your Mandate:

  • Prepare, revise and negotiate various contracts with clients, suppliers and the company’s partners, notably business contracts, service contracts, licensing agreements, confidentialty agreements and data processing contracts.
  • Contribute to the revision and update of the company’s contract templates and legal documents
  • Organize and maintain current versions of the contractual agreements in the centralized contract management platform
  • Provide legal advice to various company departments
  • Carry out continuous research to stay up to date on current laws and regulations
  • Keep a data processing registry up to date (data mapping)
  • Create and set up a compliance and ethics program in the company, notably by writing internal policies and procedures and providing training for various departments
  • All other tasks related to the evolution and needs of the company

 

 

Your Profile:

  • You have a Bachelor of Law degree and are a member of the Quebec Bar
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of pertinent professional experience, either in a corporate setting or a law firm
  • Knowledge of the following would be considered an asset: Intellectual Property Law, Technology Law, cybersecurity and protection of personal information
  • Bilingualism essential (English and French), both written and oral
  • Excellent knowledge of the Office suite
