Position Summary

We are currently seeking a talented commercial lawyer for a Corporate Counsel position in our legal department, based in Mississauga, Ontario. Reporting to the Assistant General Counsel, this is an exciting opportunity to work as a strategic partner with the business on a broad range of challenging commercial matters.
 
The successful candidate will join a dynamic legal department that has steadily grown over the last ten years.  The environment is supportive and friendly, and based on a collaborative corporate culture that values personal and team development. 

Position Responsibilities

Your duties will include negotiating and drafting commercial contracts and advising on a wide range of legal and regulatory issues for multiple business units, including ecommerce, marketing and transportation.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have 5-9 years of corporate/commercial experience at an in-house legal department and/or a leading law firm.
Sound judgement, strong business acumen and interpersonal skills are important as you will have extensive interaction with various business groups.
Experience working in ecommerce would be an asset.
Excellent drafting and negotiating skills, as well as the ability to handle a high volume of competing demands, are essential. 
 

Licensing & Other Qualifications

LLB degree and Call to Ontario Bar (in good standing with Law Society of Ontario) required
